Skills offered include:
Beveling, skiving, advanced edge finishing, stitch grooving, face leather burnishing, dyeing and finishing veg tan leather, basic belt decoration by hand stitching or simple tooling.
Popular projects include:
Stitched belt, tooled belt
This class introduces techniques and processes for working with veg tan leather in order to produce high quality belts suitable for gifting or sale. Each student will complete one high-quality belt similar to those selling on Etsy for more than $200 and will have the opportunity to custom design it using stitching or basic tooling. Leather Work 101 is required.
