The tools in this kit are the most used items (along with any cutting tools) in our workshop. You’ll be able to mark and open holes-fid, punch stitching holes–punch pad and prong punch,a hole punch for inserting rivets or snaps, have needles to stitch with, set rivets and snaps, use the tiny anvil to set rivets and snaps against, measure and have a short straight edge to cut against–ruler.
Other things you’ll need: a hammer or mallet, cutting tool like x-acto knife or utility knife. And of course any materials that you need for your projects. Even if we don’t have it listed, if you need anything that we might have, please email us: info[at]chicagoschoolofshoemaking.com. We’d love to help. Best wishes for good leatherwork!
